Welcome to the Latin American Handgun Championship, hosted in Córdoba, Argentina! We are excited to have shooters from all over the world join us for this prestigious event. To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and well-organized competition, we kindly ask all participants to carefully read the following instructions and adhere to the outlined practices.
—
Punctuality
It is crucial that shooters arrive at the event venue on time. You can find the official schedule here. Plan your journey to ensure you have ample time to park, register, and familiarize yourself with the facilities. Late arrivals may risk missing their registration time slot or scheduled shooting periods, which may result in disqualification from certain stages.
ID Verification
When you arrive at the range, make sure to have a valid photo ID (passport or DNI) readily available. This will be necessary for registration and to claim any pre-ordered ammunition (more details below). It is essential that the physical ID is presented—digital copies or photos will not be accepted under any circumstances.
—
Location and Requirements
If you have pre-ordered ammunition, please proceed to the designated Ammunition Pickup Location at the range. This area will be clearly marked, and there will be staff available to assist you with the pickup process.
To claim your pre-ordered ammo, you will need:
– Your physical ID (passport or DNI). No digital copies are allowed.
– The order confirmation number sent to your email after your reservation.
Please note that once ammunition has been picked up, it cannot be returned or refunded, so verify that everything is in order before leaving the pickup area. Ensure you check the grains and quantities of the ammo to match your order.
—
Safe Areas
Córdoba’s shooting range is equipped with clearly designated Safe Areas where shooters may handle unloaded firearms. These areas will be marked with signs and supervised by range officers. No ammunition is allowed in these areas, and firearms must be unloaded at all times while present.
When handling your firearm outside of these areas, it must be holstered, unloaded, and with no magazine inserted unless you’re on the shooting line. Always follow the instructions of range officers and respect all range rules to ensure a safe and smooth event for everyone.
Good Conduct and Etiquette
We expect all shooters to adhere to the highest standards of sportsmanship and respect for fellow competitors, officials, and staff. As a guest at this prestigious championship, your behavior reflects not only on yourself but also on the broader shooting community.
Some key guidelines include:
Shooters who fail to comply with these expectations may be subject to disqualification or removal from the competition.
—
Stage Details
Each shooter will be assigned a squad and corresponding stage times. You will receive the detailed schedule and your squad assignment upon registration. It is essential to familiarize yourself with each stage before shooting.
We encourage all shooters to inspect the Stage Briefing Sheets available at each bay to understand the specific course requirements, including target types, distances, and time limits. If you have any questions about the course of fire, do not hesitate to ask one of the range officers.
Minimum Rounds and Ammo
The championship will feature a minimum of 450 rounds. We recommend planning for some extra rounds to accommodate any potential reshoots or malfunctions.
If you’re uncertain about how much ammunition you’ll need, consider bringing at least 500 rounds to ensure you’re covered for all stages and possible contingencies.
—
Range Commands
Listen carefully to all range commands issued by the Range Officers. If you are unfamiliar with the commands, take time to familiarize yourself with them before the competition begins. Obeying the commands promptly and correctly ensures a safe environment for all participants.
Equipment
Make sure your gear is fully prepared before stepping up to the shooting line. Holsters, magazine pouches, and safety gear (including eye and ear protection) should be worn at all times when shooting. Inspect your firearms and ammunition before each stage to avoid malfunctions or disqualification.
